
If you’re having a lot fruits balance from holidays and your not sure on how to finish it, this idea is for you!
If you wanted to make a drink suitable for different occasion, but don’t have the necessary equipment to use (Juicer/Blender), this recipe is for you. It’s so simple to do and at the same time produce a much quantity than juicing it.
Kindly just note that any fruit heated may reduce some of its flavors so it’s better to infuse it with added fresh fruits overnight so you can ensure more flavors on it.
Yield:
4-6 Glasses
Ingredients:
4-6 pcs. Green Apple
2L Water
½ Cup Sugar (Optional)
Cinnamon Stick
1 Kiwi (Sliced)
1 Orange (Sliced
(Optional: Thyme, Rosemary, Mint and Lemongrass)
Instruction:
- Wash the fruits in warm water.
- Slice the green apples, kiwi and orange. Put the kiwi and orange slice for later use.
- In a pot, put the 2 L of water, sugar, Cinnamon Sick and the slice green apples.
- Slowly Boil around 35-40 minutes until the green apples are soft.
- Let it cool for 5-7 minutes.
- Strain the liquid in a bowl and mashed the apples to make sure more juice comes out.
- Once it’s done, put the slices of kiwi and orange and let it cool down before chilling it.
- Infuse it overnight.
- Serve chilled.
(Optional: You can infuse herbs such as rosemary, thyme, mint and lemongrass for added flavors)
Important Notes:
- If the fruits you used are almost over ripe, it’s naturally sweeter than the normal one. So you can just simply not add any sweeteners anymore.
- Since this is a fresh juice, you need to consumed it right away. It’s not meant to keep for so long because it will affect the natural flavors on it. “The fresher the better!”
- It is very important that you infused it over night to make sure the flavors of other fruits will be incorporated.
