Infused Drinks: Homemade Green Apple Juice Infuse w/ Orange, Kiwi, Hibiscus and Cinnamon

If you have a surplus of fresh fruits after the holidays and aren’t sure how to use them all, this refreshing idea is perfect for you!

For those looking to create a flavorful drink suitable for any occasion—without needing special equipment like a juicer or blender—this recipe is a simple and effective solution. It yields a generous quantity, making it great for sharing.

Just a quick tip: heating fruit can diminish some of its natural flavors, so it’s best to infuse the drink overnight with fresh fruits added to maximize taste and freshness.

Yield:

4-6 Glasses

Ingredients:

4-6 pcs. Green Apple

2L Water

½ Cup Sugar (Optional)

Cinnamon Stick

1 Kiwi (Sliced)

1 Orange (Sliced

(Optional: Thyme, Rosemary, Mint and Lemongrass)

Instruction:

  1. Wash the fruits in warm water.
  2. Slice the green apples, kiwi and orange. Put the kiwi and orange slice for later use.
  3. In a pot, put the 2 L of water, sugar, Cinnamon Sick and the slice green apples.
  4. Slowly Boil around 35-40 minutes until the green apples are soft.
  5. Let it cool for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Strain the liquid in a bowl and mashed the apples to make sure more juice comes out.
  7. Once it’s done, put the slices of kiwi and orange and let it cool down before chilling it.
  8. Infuse it overnight.
  9. Serve chilled.

(Optional: You can infuse herbs such as rosemary, thyme, mint and lemongrass for added flavors)

Important Notes:

  1. If the fruits you used are almost over ripe, it’s naturally sweeter than the normal one. So you can just simply not add any sweeteners anymore.
  2. Since this is a fresh juice, you need to consumed it right away. It’s not meant to keep for so long because it will affect the natural flavors on it. “The fresher the better!”
  3. It is very important that you infused it over night to make sure the flavors of other fruits will be incorporated.

Enjoy this vibrant and healthy infused green apple juice as a perfect refresher anytime you want to hydrate and delight your taste buds. It’s a simple way to make the most of your fresh fruits while treating yourself and your loved ones to a naturally delicious and nutritious drink. Cheers to good health and great flavors!
