You promise me a better life but it all turns out fake,
You told me you love me but it was all for your own sake.
You made me suffer while you’re living your life to the fullest,
Now I am left alone to find my way into this mess.
After all that’s been said you claimed that it wasn’t love,
That every feeling we shared was all just a made up.
It was just a one-sided love that I inflicted to myself,
And there’s no point of explaining why in the end you left.
Now everything settled as a memory of the past.
We continued our life and we find a kind of love that will never last.
A lot of questions are still hanging but there’s no need to look back again,
Because it’s already over and I will not bring back anymore that pain.
Through that experienced I learned the importance of loving myself more.
That investing on myself is more worth fighting for.
The pain and cries I shared in that specific moment,
Are God’s way for me to be strong and confident.
Here I am pursuing my goals while making memories,
There no more pressure and everything around me is at ease.
I see every day as an opportunity for me to be better,
And see every challenge as a game that I need to be a winner.
Despite of what happened there’s no regrets left in me,
That experienced became my way for me to clearly see.
The goals that I need to work on and the situations I need to leave,
The life that I need to look forward and the people I need to forgive.
It wasn’t a happy or sad ending for both of us,
But I wanted to thank you for all the things that made my heart beat fast.
Lover or friends it was still a memory that is worth to keep.
I will see everything as a long challenging trip.
As we continue our chosen path away from each other,
I wanted to tell you that I found the person that I’ll spend my life forever.
Finally, I found someone who will complete my life’s missing piece,
And after all this time, my heart now found its peace.
