The Mask She Wears

This is the courage she carries each day,
When the world around her begins to sway.
Like a bird taking flight into the unknown,
She gathers her strength, even when she’s alone.

This is the fire that keeps her in motion,
In a world drowned in pretense and shallow emotion.
She hides her doubts behind a carefully worn smile,
Knowing the road ahead stretches for miles.

This is the girl who cries when no one’s near,
Wiping her tears so they won’t appear.
Wearing a mask of grace and grace alone,
While her soul hums quietly, a breaking tone.

She’s standing tall now—perhaps not whole,
But learning to carry her patched-up soul.
And to those still fighting battles in the dark,
She offers these words from a bruised but brave heart:

“To those who walk through storms unasked,
Let strength be your armor, even behind a mask.”
