A Magna Cum Laude Story

“Efforts should be appreciated and not neglected.”

It has been four years since I graduated, but the hardships and sacrifices are still crystal clear in my mind. Will you believe me if I say that getting a Latin honor is not really my goal when I was in college? Probably nobody. But actually that’s a fact.

The first and the only reason why I did good in academics is because of the high tuition fee of my course. In our university, we have this partial and full scholarship requirements that you need to have so you can avail discounts in your tuition fee. For partial scholarship you need to have an average of 1.75 and above (90-92) for you to have a 50% discount and for full scholarship you need to have an average of 1.50 and above (93-95) for you to get a 100% discount (meaning you don’t have to pay your tuition fee anymore).

So it all started in my hope to help my parents in paying my tuition fee.

Take note that I’m not that academically active when I was in High school.
