What’s wrong with her?

It was a quiet morning.
The kind where raindrops kiss the earth gently,
And the world feels slower than usual.
There she sat—beside the window, eyes distant.
Physically present, but emotionally… hollow.

She kept asking herself the questions
That echoed louder with each drop on the glass:
“Is it alright?”
“Am I really okay?”
“What’s wrong with me?”

She was lonely.
Not the kind of lonely that comes from being alone—
But the ache that lingers when someone walks into your life,
Warms your soul,
And then leaves it colder than before.

She was fine before they came.
Content in her solitude.
But they taught her to trust.
To open up.
To believe that maybe, just maybe, she didn’t have to face it all alone.

And now?
Every time they leave,
Her loneliness returns—twice as loud.
Twice as heavy.
As if her joy had become tethered to their presence.

But she’s learning. Slowly. Painfully.

She shouldn’t make them her whole world.
She shouldn’t stop her life when they exit the room.
She shouldn’t silence her light just because someone else chose to dim theirs.

Because the pain, the tears, the sleepless nights—
They’re not worth it.
Especially when they seem perfectly fine without her.
Whether she’s there or not… it changes nothing.

So, to the girl by the window:

Wake up.
Please.
Before you lose yourself completely.

Live your life.
Laugh again.
Love yourself deeper than anyone ever could.

You are not half of a whole.
You are whole on your own.

And you can do this—
Even if it’s alone.
Especially if it’s alone.

We believe in you.
Now it’s time you believe in yourself.
